Elevation work in unison with the Lift Safety hand book, Elevation cover all aspects of Health and Safety, and as a company the guidelines enforced by our directors are set in stone. Els work in unison to the Lift Regulations 1997, BS7255 (safe working on lifts) lift safety hand book (E.E.F) we undertake risk assessments in line with Loler and Power 98, on all sites when a contract commences. We are fully conversant with quality assurance 9001, C.D.M, C.O.S.H.H, H.S.E, and E.T.W.A working regulations. Further more with ever increasing European Legislation being introduced and enforced within the UK, elevation cover all aspects of health and safety . from the lift industry Puwer 98 & Loler legislation, what does it mean ?. Stemming from a European Directive relating to the use of equipment which became effective as of 5th of December 1998. These regulations apply to all users of new and existing work equipment (ie any equipment, machiery, appliance, apparatus, tool or installation for use at work. Puwer 98 (the provision and use of work equipment Regulations 1998) relates to the provision of work equipment and its safe use, consideration needs to be given to: The nature and degree of risk associated with the equipment and its use and the means available to reduce the risk. Loler (the lifting operations and lifting equipment Regulations 1998)
applies over and above the requiremnts of Puwer 98 for lifting equipment
and lifting operations. Loler requires > the planning, supervision and
execution of lifting equipment to ensure Safety. The Safe use of lifting
equipment. The periodic thorough examination of lifting equipment by
